One Thin Foil, Two Problems Solved: EMI and Thermal Management
In modern electronics, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and heat buildup are the two perennial challenges engineers face. As devices become smaller and more highly integrated, electromagnetic crosstalk between chips and modules grows more severe; at the same time, if heat from high-power components is not dissipated promptly, it directly affects device reliability and service life.
Copper and aluminum foil tapes are the "all-rounders".Copper foil tape, with its outstanding conductivity, is the preferred solution for EMI shielding: simply apply a strip of copper foil tape across a seam to create a continuous Faraday cage effect that keeps harmful electromagnetic waves out. Aluminum foil tape, lighter and more affordable, excels in heat dissipation and reflective insulation.
CIVEN Metal's tape product line covers the full range of needs, from single-sided to double-sided conductive, from standard adhesive to conductive adhesive, and from standard thickness to ultra-thin grades. Our core advantage: we produce our own metal foil substrates, which means 100% control over raw material quality. Thickness uniformity, surface finish and mechanical strength of the foil are all strictly controlled, fundamentally ensuring consistent performance of the finished tape.
Unlike most trading companies on the market that simply buy foil and laminate it with adhesive, CIVEN has achieved full vertical integration of the value chain: melting → rolling → annealing → slitting → coating → rewinding. This deep integration not only brings cost advantages but, more importantly, makes the quality of every process step traceable and improvable. When a customer reports variation in adhesion or conductivity in a batch of tape, we can pinpoint the exact process step and improve it, something companies that only do downstream processing cannot do.
