Product Story
The Beauty of Balance: Understated Yet Indispensable
In a materials engineer's toolbox, brass foil is the quiet all-rounder: it is not the most conductive (that's pure copper) nor the most elastic (that's beryllium copper or phosphor bronze), but it strikes just the right balance between the two, with a unique bonus: a natural golden color.
CIVEN standard brass foil uses mainstream grades such as H62/H65/H68, covering alloy ratios from low to medium zinc. Lower-zinc grades (such as H62) are softer and better for deep drawing; medium-zinc grades (such as H68) are harder and more elastic, so customers can choose the formulation best suited to their process.
A smooth surface is another hallmark of this product. Unlike some suppliers who sacrifice surface quality to cut costs, CIVEN brass foil leaves the factory with a mirror-grade finish, free of oxidation spots, scratches and pinholes. This is not just about looks: in subsequent plating, painting or bonding, a good surface directly determines the yield of the final product.
From ultra-thin 12 microns to thicker 90 microns, and widths from as narrow as 4 mm (for precision components) to as wide as 640 mm (for large-area applications), this exceptionally wide range of specifications means customers can source many needs from a single supplier, greatly simplifying supply chain management.
